The annual Christmas Splash fundraiser held at Rosses Point was again a great success. Organized by the dedicated Sligo Christmas Splash Committee, the event brought the community together on Christmas Day 2024 for a chilly yet heartwarming dip in the Atlantic Ocean—all for a great cause.  
The turnout for this year’s event was nothing short of incredible. Braving the cold waters, hundreds of participants made a splash to support the Sligo Cancer Support Centre, a vital resource offering peace and hope to individuals and families affected by cancer in the North West of Ireland. The center provides essential services such as counseling, holistic therapies, and healing workshops in a tranquil environment.  
The generosity of attendees and donors resulted in an impressive €12,901 being raised. This remarkable achievement will directly benefit the Sligo Cancer Support Centre, enabling it to continue its invaluable work in supporting those facing life’s toughest challenges.
